Advantages of DeVines

Advantages of using DeVinesover a drone solution

Vineyard growth tracker

With DeVines, the database gathers qualitative and quantitative data continuously from multiple sources in order to track key performance indicators such as number of grapes per plant, growth tracker of the grapes, leaf density, growth tracker of the plants and missing plants. Hence, thanks to DeVines, you will be able to track accurately and daily the evolution of your vineyard in order to manage it smartly.

Management of anomalies flagged by the users

DeVines through its smartphone applications, provides a digital interface for real-time communication between the active members of the farm (manager, employees and contractors). The smartphone application enables precise geolocation of anomalies (sickness, broken plant infrastructure, water leakage…) thanks to the observations performed by an active user of the app. All the flagged anomalies are pictured, timestamped, positioned stamped and can be visualized in real-time by the manager.

Fast detection of vineyard anomalies

DeVines ecosystem allows detection by two means. Firstly, dedicated machine learning algorithms have trained to detect automatically anomalies from the vineyard images captured by eHermes receiver. A manual detection method is also implemented in the DeVines smartphone application which allows the app user to picture, report and geolocate anomalies. Hence, the team can react quickly to all type of situation.

Fast detection of vineyard anomalies

The impact of global warming can already be perceived on plants’ behavior (earlier harvest, larger water deficit….) and will continue to impact significantly vineyards and its management. The occurrence of plant sicknesses, plant deaths and anomalies will undoubtedly increase over the next years leading to vineyard management difficulties. Thanks to the high-tech receiver (eHermes) developed for DeVines services, DeVines is and will be the solution to become aware rapidly of these anomalies to overcome them.

DeVines answers the challenges of today and tomorrow

Yield forecast

Several factors influence vine growth. From one row to another, the ripening of the fruit changes. Currently, random sampling is the means used to check maturity.

Detections of plant sicknesses and anomalies

Thanks to the eHermes receiver in association with machine learning algorithms, DeVines is able to detect and flag suspected anomalies.

Remote management

Thanks to the smartphone application, DeVines enables the employees to flag and geolocalise anomalies. The timestamped information is then stored internally in the DeVines database and can be accessed by the manager at any time.
